The Petplan Equine National Riding Festival will again be touring the UK during 2008. Designed to increase the number of people participating in equestrian sport, it is supported by organisations across the equine industry.
2007 activity included a Riding School Open Day tour which consisted of nine action-packed days at venues across the UK. Visitors enjoyed a variety of displays including jumping, dressage, side-saddle and vaulting and they also gained an insight into horse care with talks from vets, farriers and the ILPH. All schools offered visitors the chance to ride a horse and for those not quite brave enough, Trigger the mechanical horse was on hand!
The National Riding Festival is supported by an extensive PR campaign which includes national newspaper promotions offering readers free riding lessons, magazine editorial and local news coverage. The campaign is designed to promote the benefits of riding and put people in touch with their local riding school.
"We're delighted to support the National Riding Festival which will increase the profile of equestrianism and encourage many thousands of new and lapsed riders to take up the reins"
Geraldine West, Petplan Equine Marketing Manager
