The optional cover is designed to insure your horse in the sad event that your they suffer an illness or injury that permanently prevents it taking part in the activities you insured it for.
We recognise that so long as your horse can live an otherwise healthy and comfortable life, you may well wish to keep your horse in retirement. Petplan Equine’s horse insurance can help you to make that happen by providing financial support at the outset to help with the costs.

Riding a horse can be a dangerous activity, regardless of how experienced a rider you may be. We all know that horses can spook at the slightest thing, and their flighty nature can cause anything from the loss of a tooth, to more serious physical damage.
With Petplan Equine, you can choose to select our optional Personal Accident cover as part of your horse insurance policy to provide that extra peace of mind. So should you, or anyone you have permitted to be with your horse, be injured whilst riding or handling them, you will be covered with this additional benefit.

Horse Trailer/Horse-Drawn Vehicle
If you have a trailer or horse-drawn vehicle, you can cover this as part of your horse insurance policy with Petplan Equine.
Should your trailer or horse-drawn vehicle become lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, you can rest assured that we will be there to help with covering the costs. When added to your horse insurance, Petplan Equine will either pay the cost of repair, or, depending on the circumstances, may pay up to the market value.
