Petplan returns to Blenheim

Due to popular demand, Petplan, the UK's number one small animal and equine insurance provider will be returning to the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials in 2009. The new sponsorship will see the return of the famous Petplan Waterside Marquee – a dedicated hospitality facility for Petplan’s policyholders situated by the spectacular water complex across the River Glyme. Additionally, there will be a Petplan trade stand with promotions and new offers.

Petplan will be offering their policyholders an exclusive discount on the gate price of Blenheim adult admission only tickets and the first 200 to apply can also benefit from a special price for an admission ticket and Petplan cross country course walk with a leading rider on the Thursday or Friday of the event.

"Blenheim offers a fantastic opportunity for us to say a big thank you to our Petplan and Petplan Equine customers by providing them with specially priced tickets and the popular waterside. Our customers still ask about the event, so we have listened to them and have become involved once again" said Alison Andrew, Marketing Manager at Petplan. "Mandy and her team have a truly dynamic approach to working with sponsors, so the decision was easy."

Mandy Hervieu, Director of the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials commented: "It is great news that Petplan will be returning to Blenheim. The company was a valued and generous supporter of the event for a number of years and the Petplan Waterside Marquee creates a fabulous atmosphere at one of the most popular viewing points on the cross-country course. This year there is also cross country on Sunday for the new CIC*** star spotter class so it will undoubtedly be a popular focal point throughout the weekend."

This year's Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials takes place from 10th-13th September 2009. Set in the magnificent grounds of the Duke of Marlborough’s Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, with grounds landscaped by Capability Brown and Vanbrugh, it was first held in 1990 and is now Oxfordshire’s biggest sporting event. Having hosted the European Eventing Championships in 2005 Blenheim is also considered one of the best three-day events in Europe.

In addition to the opportunity to watch some of the world's best riders in action there are over 175 interesting and varied shops, a free attractions arena with displays and demonstrations for all the family to enjoy, including The Dodson and Horrell Cross country and Show Team Jumping Challenge for Riding Club and Pony Club teams plus a children’s play area and a wide range of catering outlets. Parking for the horse trials is complimentary and admission is free for adults after 3pm on Thursday and Friday afternoons for shopping with the stores staying open until 6pm. Children under 12 years old and accompanied by an adult get free entry throughout the event.

Petplan policyholders will be contacted directly by Petplan with details on how to redeem Petplan's exclusive Blenheim ticket offer.
