Personal Accident and Dental Insurance
If your horse is kept at a riding establishment and they are allowed to use it for their business, personal accident insurance cover will not usually apply to anyone who is using your horse in connection with the business, unless they are a member of your family.
If you loan your horse to a friend to ride in a lesson at a school or with a professional instructor then they will not be covered by Personal Accident insurance. The riding school should hold their own Personal Accident cover.
You are obliged to advise the insurance company of any physical or mental conditions that you have which might affect your policy. The insurer will advise you at the time you take out your policy how your condition might effect a claim.
