PETPLAN EQUINE ‘FESTIVAL FEVER’ STARTS THIS WEEK

The 2017/18 series of twenty-seven Petplan Equine Area Festivals, eight Petplan Equine Area Festival Finals and the Petplan Equine Area Festival Championships at Hartpury College, in Gloucestershire in April 2018 will expand the potential number of competitor places from 9,600 to over 27,000 in 2017/18 making it the most participated in British Dressage series ever.

The new look Petplan Equine Area Festivals will begin at Wellington Riding in Hampshire and Rockrose Equestrian Centre in East Lothian, Scotland this weekend.

The Area Festivals take place from Aberdeenshire to the Channel Islands and celebrate dressage at all levels from Preliminary to Intermediate II. There is also a new under-18 section in response to British Dressage members asking for an age limited competition for young riders.

“We can’t wait for the Petplan Equine Area Festival season to get started,” commented Kate Hopkins, Marketing Executive at Petplan Equine. “The Area Festivals have always been a great success and provide grassroots horse and rider combinations with the perfect start to affiliated competition. Open to all riders who want to experience the thrill of competing in championship-style conditions, the Petplan Equine Area Festivals have a relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere. The new style Area Festivals will allow even more competitors to get involved and be part of a very special competition.”
